Compress images
Shrink your JPG, PNG and WebP photos without anyone noticing. Drop several at once, compare before and after, and download them.
Everything happens in your browser: your files are never uploaded to a server.
How to use it
- Drop your images into the box, click to pick them or paste them with Ctrl+V.
- Adjust the quality if you want. At 75% the difference is almost never visible.
- If the photo is huge, pick a maximum size (for example 1920 px) to save even more.
- Drag the slider to compare before and after.
- Download each image or all of them in a .zip.
FAQ
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Compression happens inside your browser, on your own device. Your images never leave your computer or phone, and you can check it by turning off the internet after opening the page.
How much smaller will the image be?
It depends on the photo. Phone photos usually shrink by 50% to 80% at 75% quality. If you also lower the maximum size, you save even more.
Will I lose quality?
JPG and WebP compression removes details the eye barely sees. At 70-80% quality the difference is very hard to spot. Use the slider to decide.
What does the "Automatic" format do?
It keeps the format of your JPG and WebP files. PNGs without transparency become JPG, which is much lighter, and PNGs with transparency become WebP, which keeps it.
Is the photo's location data removed?
Yes. Re-creating the image removes EXIF data such as GPS location or phone model. The photo still keeps the right orientation.
Is there an image limit?
There is no fixed limit. It depends on your device's memory; on a phone 30 or 40 photos at once work fine.
